We all have a story. Ryan’s story contains many turns. Some up, some down. He studied at Purdue University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and Supervision in 1995. Some fun highlights along his path were the opportunity to work in Yellowstone National Park. While many of his cohorts were interning during their summers, he decided to work and play in Wyoming. Upon graduating, he worked for a large retailer, helping to open new stores, develop teams, and individuals for future advancement. As an avid outdoors person, he soon landed in Colorado, calling the mountains home. He reflects upon his time in Breckenridge with two opposing perspectives. Here, he co-owned a business focused on running and helped and participated in the local running community there. It was also here that his love for a sport called ultra-running took hold. And finally, the other perspective. It was this same mountain home where the business was unsuccessful.
Lost without direction, purpose, and meaning, he soon fell into the battle of battles. Depression. Through Amazing Grace he met Christy Dafter (now Christy Morgan). Although physically fit, he was not healthy in every other way. Christy was advancing her knowledge of Naturopathic practices and functional medicine at the time. Working with her, he was able to view a healthier way to live. However, his largest breakthrough and understanding came during what may have been his darkest hour. Depression still had a tight rein. Faced with THE choice, he made the right one. He surrendered his thinking, his will, his purpose, his unknowns and what-ifs to what he often calls his Coach. Those who know him understand that he is referring to Jesus.
He recently became a Certified Health Coach through the Trinity School of Natural Health and continues to work on his national accreditation for Biblical Counseling. Additionally, he is being trained in blood morphology and biological ionization testing. He is excited to join Blue Z Health as an additional practitioner and incorporate his passion in helping others with their journey to health and wellness.
