There is no biological technology that has the potential to impact, for the better, the life and health of our world more than Reams’ Biological Theory of Ionization, better known as RBTI (specialized urine and saliva testing) to those familiar with it. Unfortunately, it is probably the best kept secret, even though its originator, Dr. Carey A. Reams, began to discover the founding mathematical principles of RBTI in the early 1930s.
Dr Reams developed this amazing system of bringing the body back into balance. RBTI first exposes the unique biochemical individuality of anyone, and then reveals the specific changes and alterations in diet and lifestyle practices necessary to bring on real health, wellness and longevity.

Saliva and Urine Test in RBTI- Reams Biological Theory of Ionization
RBTI is a 7-part testing modality created by Dr. Carey Reams. Einstein was a close friend of Reams and where Einstein worked mathematically on how to take apart an atom, Reams worked mathematically on how to put living cells back together. Reams was a Mathematical genius, agriculturist phenomenon and scientist. He healed thousands of patrons with cancer with his biological theory of ionization. This test is done to show us the internal terrain of the body. We can identify the speed of digestion, how nutrients are breaking down, overall liver health, whether there is a potential risk of parasites and viruses and can honestly explain bathroom habits, amongst many other things.
Our body works hard to keep its pH within a narrow range. Blood, urine and stomach pH for instance, are all different. Urine pH and Saliva pH are both ideally the same at 6.4 but may range between 4.5 – 8.0. If the pH of any of our fluids are off, our body will use energy reserves and minerals to keep the pH in balance. Unfortunately, our pH ranges go out of balance regularly because of diet, stress and environmental factors. When our body must constantly try to keep its pH’s in range, these reserves get all used up and the body begins to break itself down in efforts to get the energy and nutrients it needs. This causes a whole host of other problems.
The Saliva pH represents upper digestion and urine pH represents lower digestion. Saliva pH will provide us with beneficial information on liver health, carbohydrate breakdown, B12 and K2 deficiencies, HCL levels of the stomach and the transit time of upper digestion. Urine PH will show how toxic the large intestine can be. It provides information on how you’re assimilating nutrients in the small intestine and also on reproductive health. Urine PH can also indicate inflammation or acidity in the body.
Depending on if the pH is too high or too low will determine how fast food is moving through the digestive tract, how the body is absorbing the nutrients, and if waste is being backed up causing toxins to be reabsorbed into the body. I know the world has us stuck on alkalinity, but being too alkaline is just as bad as being too acidic. We do, however, want to eat 80% alkalizing and 20% acidifying foods most of the time, but depending on where you are on the scale, that would be adjusted. Most people tend to be too acidic, especially if they don’t focus on diet, BUT if you are too alkaline you will need to increase your proteins and stop overdoing it on alkalizing foods/superfood powders. pH is not only altered by diet though, It is altered by the amount of rest you get, your stress level, the way you process or hold emotions, environmental toxins, your water intake and quality of, ability to detoxify, breathing, the way you cook your food and more.
When you come to my office for RBTI testing I will also check how well you are metabolizing, processing and utilizing carbs and sugars in your diet, how well you are metabolizing, processing and utilizing salts/sodium in your diet, how well your kidneys are flushing waste and toxins, and how well your kidneys and liver and handling the foods you eat, and their health. This also show potassium deficiency or sufficiency.
You will need to fast for 2 hours before your appt time, but you must eat really well earlier, about 30 minutes to 1 hour before the cut off window of the 2 hours of fasting. If you come for the testing without eating much earlier or fasting for too long, then this will skew the test results. We test to see how well you are processing the foods you eat. You must eat a good mix of carbs, fats and proteins for the most accurate test results. You must also not have any liquid, gum or mints in your mouth 15-20 minutes before your appt time. Do not over hydrate earlier though, as this will also throw off the test numbers, and do not be dehydrated either. Make sure to drink water earlier before the 2-hour fasting window, but do not guzzle a load of water that is not your norm of water consumption.
A urine and saliva sample are taken at our office. One test is performed with the saliva and six tests with the urine. Results take only a few minutes and are discussed with the client at the appointment.
Is RBTI used to treat illness?*
RBTI is not for diagnosing or treating medical illness – you may consult a licensed medical professional for that. The purpose of RBTI is to analyze and identify previously unrecognized imbalances and dysfunctions taking place within the human body, thereby allowing the creation of a perfect set of personal life-style recommendations that will address and help reverse those unrecognized dysfunctional patterns. RBTI, when correctly applied, offers the highest potential for perfect health.
The RBTI program is a lifestyle that lasts a lifetime. It is not just a quick fix!
The cause of all the dysfunctional and degenerative patterns, that the analysis reveals, is a result of poor life-style habits, causing the body to miss out on vital food mineral energy, depleting both usable as well as reserve-mineral energy too fast. In other words, the body is aging too rapidly.
However, the body is able, with proper care and nutrition, to reverse these health-destroying dysfunctions that may be taking place. This is made possible through the proper application of the ionization principles and lifestyle changes.
